Guild Wars: Eye of the North is the first expansion for Guild Wars with content geared exclusively for level 20 characters.

Return to the battle-scarred continent of Tyria, the home of the original Guild Wars game. There, old friends await, ready to assist you in settling past scores. But an even greater threat looms... The land has erupted, spewing forth a race of beings with only one thought estroy everything. Win or lose, your actions will set the stage for Guild Wars 2.

Enter the Depths xplore a sprawling underground complex of caverns that spans an entire continent, promising 18 multi-level dungeons rife with traps, puzzles, and secret passages. As the main character I play in Guild Wars is an Elementalist, Im glad to see the big range of Elite Skills which are available in Eye of the North. Some of these are available in previous Guild Wars campaigns, but if you don抰 have them all then this is a good spread of skills to stock up on.

Air Magic
Invoke Lightning

Target foe and up to two other foes near your target are struck for 10?2 lightning damage. This spell has 25% armor penetration. If you are not under the effects of an Enchantment, this spell causes Exhaustion.

Invoke Lightning can be obtained from:

Shadow Spawn (Ravens Point)
Mind Shock

Target foe suffers 10?2 lightning damage. If you have more energy than target foe, that foe suffers 10?2 additional lightning damage and is knocked down. This spell has 25% armor penetration. This spell causes exhaustion.

Mind Shock can be obtained from:

Edielh Shockhunter (Jaga Moraine)
Ride the Lightning

You ride the lightning to target foe. That foe is struck for 10?2 lightning damage. This spell has 25% armor penetration and causes Exhaustion.

Ride the Lightning can be obtained from:

Thraexis Thundermaw (Grothmar Wardowns)
Earth Magic
Shockwave

Adjacent foes take 15?1 earth damage, nearby foes take 15?1 earth damage, and foes in the area take 15?1 earth damage.

Shockwave can be obtained from:

Ssissth the Leviathan (Jaga Moraine)
Joffs the Mitigator (Riven Earth)
Energy Storage
Ether Prodigy

Lose all enchantments. For 5?7 seconds, you gain +6 energy regeneration. When Ether Prodigy ends, you lose 3 health for each point of energy you have. This Spell causes Exhaustion.

Hierophant Burntsoul (Sacnoth Valley (Only during Assault on the Stronghold)
Strout Flamebourne (Sacnoth Valley (Only during Fire and Pain)

Mind Blast

Target foe is struck for 15?1 fire damage. If you have more Energy than target foe, you gain 1? Energy.

Mind Blast can be obtained from:

Kakei Stormcaller (Blood Washes Blood)
Flamemaster Maultooth (Warband of Brothers)
Savannah Heat

You create Savannah Heat at target foes location. For 5 seconds, all nearby foes take 5&7 fire damage each second and an additional 5&7 fire damage for each second this Spell has been in effect.

Savannah Heat can be obtained from:

Lok the Mischievous (Arachni抯 Haunt)
Regent of Flame (Catacombs of Kathandrax)
Searing Flames

Target foe and all nearby foes are struck with Searing Flames. Foes already on fire when this skill is cast are struck for 10?2 fire damage. Foes not already on fire begin Burning for 1&seconds.

Searing Flames can be obtained from:

Borrguus Blisterbark (Sacnoth Valley)
Water Magic

Mist Form

For 8?8 seconds, you cannot take or deal damage from attacks.

Mist Form can be obtained from:

Drikard The Foggy (Dalada Uplands)
Shatterstone

Target foe is struck for 25?5 cold damage and is Hexed with Shatterstone for 3 seconds. When Shatterstone ends, that foe is struck for 25?5 cold damage.

Shatterstone can be obtained from:

Fragment of Antiquities (Sepulchre of Dragrimmar)
Whiteout (Jaga Moraine)
Regent of Ice (Sepulchre of Dragrimmar)
Ancient Vaettir (Ravens Point)
Ward Against Harm

Create a Ward Against Harm at this location. For 8?8 seconds, non-spirit allies in this area have 12?0 armor against fire damage and 12&2 armor against other damage.

Ward Against Harm can be obtained from:

Frazar Frostfur (Grothmar Wardowns, during Against the Charr)
Spafrod Iceblood (Sacnoth Valley)
Water Trident

Send out a fast-moving Water Trident striking target foe for 10?8 cold damage if it hits. If it hits a moving foe, that foe is knocked down.

Water Trident can be obtained from:

Elsnil Frigidheart (Ice Cliff Chasms)
Gloop (Ooze Pit)
Given my character has a Pyromancer build, Elite Skills like Searing Flames and Savannah Heat are very useful. Searing Flames in particular is an old favourite - with proper thought for your build, you can spam Searing Flames and chain it with other skills that do extra damage to enemies who are on fire.
